Outdoors - Bastrop, Texas
![]() The Colorado River winds past pine covered hills in Bastrop, the same today as in 1832 when the City was founded. This natural setting has earned Bastrop a reputation as the “Home of the Lost Pines.” The Loblollies are just a few minutes from downtown in Bastrop State Park, which has one of three area golf courses. Colorado River access is available within the City at Fisherman's Park. These are but a few ways in which you'll discover natural beauty and outdoor recreation in our area. You will think you are thousands of miles from civilization, but you can enjoy the CRR and have time to shop in Bastrop or explore Bastrop and Buescher State Parks and still be home for dinner! Click here for a downloadable trail guide! Or you can stop by the PPLT office at the entrance to Tahitian Village or call 512-308-1911 to request one.
